Two Filipino boxers have been knocked out in regional title fights in Bangkok in what appeared to be mismatches based on the fighters records.
Minimum weight Tommy Terado who had a record of 7-3 with 1 KO suffered a fifth round knockout at the hands of undefeated Pan Asian Boxing Association champion ****sawan Kratingdaenggym who had a record of 17-0 with 13 KO’s. Terado had previously lost in his bid for the WBC Youth title against Oleydong Sithsamerchai on March 17 and then dropped a ten round unanimous decision to Noknoi Sitthiprasert in a WBC Youth light flyweight title bout on July 28.
It was Terado's third straight loss in Thailand after winning his first seven bouts in the Philippines.
The other Filipino to get knocked out was Larry Mede who had a record of 6-8-1 with no knockouts. He was knocked out in the third round in a Asian Boxing Council light flyweight title fight against Thailand’s Kompayak Porpramook who paraded a 24-3, 17 KO’s fight record.
