McFedris Cote is going to be a ******* slugfest.

Swick should be good too. Hopefully the drop to 170 from 185 doesn't affect him too much.

Im not too impressed with this card but the next 2 should be awesome and Fight Night 13 with Karo and Kenflo and those guys should be better then most of the ufc ppv.

Swick will win a 2nd rd tko.
And im actually picking Cote to win against Mcfedris
And then Thavares and Diaz should pick up the win

I would watch this if I had heard of any of the guys. I think I may have seen the Diaz dude fight before but wasn't too impressed. I may check it out just to see some action though. Thanks for the information Johnny.

You should watch it just to see Thiago Tavarez fight. That guy is a future champion.

It's a free card, it's not going to have the star power of a PPV, but a lot of the guys fighting are ranked in the Top 11-20 range.

Imo Tavares will never be the champion based on the current depth and age of the lw divison.

Tyson Griffin and Frankie Edgar (who are both very young) will take Tavared every day of the week (and Griffin already did)

I think Edgar is a bad style match up for Thiago, but the Griffin fight was very close, and I think that he too is a bad style match up for Thiago. If Thiago faces a stud BJJ artist that is also a solid wrestler (like the previous two) then they have the ability to maintain control of the fight without getting sub'd. But Thiago is young, very athletic, and I think he will become a competant striker. Very explosive.

-Patrick Cote vs. Drew McFedries is a guaranteed standup war

And Swick vs Burkman might be cause Swick is a knockout artist but Burkman might want to take it to the ground because of that.

Ok I will check it out and let you guys know what I thought. I can't promise I will watch more than one round though. It will have to be solid.

Oh! Grab a beer at Buffalo Wild Wings and just watch the whole thing! :cheeky4:
You know he will. That is what the closet watchers do. They claim they hate the ufc, then they say they will tune in and watch one round to see if it's good. Then after they watch, and enjoy the whole thing, they come on the forum and say how boring it was, and they turned it off after the first 5 minutes.:cheeky4:

Well I won't do that. Let me know when the good boxing matches are on live and free and I'll watch the whole thing.

Sup Fellas .. I will be watching this for sure..
Shane alot of these guys arent big .. I went on the UFC forum just reading about them ALOT of the guys over there think this has potential to be a good good card they are saying that at least 3 of the matchups will be stand up action.. I personally hate watching wrestling with each other soo I too am hoping for some stand up action .. Thiago is supposed to be nasty..

Man was I disappointed in Tavares. He didn't look half as good with this victory as he did with the Tyson Griffin loss. Very disappointed.

Nate Diaz, the opening fight, looked GREAT. That right there is good MMA Jiu-Jitsu.

Patrick Cote-WOW! He TKO'd McFedries in under 2 minutes and I thought for sure that Cote would try to stay OFF the feet (which in all fairness, Cote did attempt a few takedowns), but way to go coming off with that big left. People who spar with Cote say he hits like a train. They also say that about McFedries too.

The Pellegrino fight went about how I expected, other than that monstrous kick that put him down in the opening seconds.

Burkman vs. Swick in the final... not that good of a fight. They neutralized each other big time. Since I despise draws, I think a Majority Decision in favor of Swick was warranted. I think he did enough in the 2nd and 3rd rounds to get the nod. I don't know what the boo's were about when Swick was given the victory. That fight definitely wasn't Burkman's win. He was stuffed on 14 out of 15 takedowns (don't know the exact number). The ONE takedown Burkman got, Swick was able to get right back up to his feet, just like I'd expect someone who trains with 2 D-1 NCAA wrestlers in Koscheck and Fitch.

Overall: 6.5/10 for a fight night. I'd probably give it a 7 if Thiago Taveres didn't fight like crap.

I liked the Cote fight, but my favorite one was the Pellegrino fight. That dude could actually box really well. Well, he was good with his hands. I hated the Burkman-Swick fight and thought Burkman should have gotten the nod. All in all I enjoyed the Cote and Burkman fights, but I couldn't watch the rest where they were trying to submit each other. Thumbs up guys.

Swick and Burkman was a disapointment

Pellegrino was good, nice to see someone comeback and win after getting his teeth kicked through his lip.

Cote and McFredies was good, both guys came to fight no dicking around

Diaz fight was some nice jiu jitsu.
