By Phil Woolever

Juan Urango whipped a short right hook.

Carlos Wilfredo Vilches went splat.

With the fourth round flattening of well traveled Vilches, former IBF junior welterweight titlist Urango positioned himself for another belting opportunity, perhaps against Paulie Malignaggi this summer.

Urango’s highlight reel knockout on the Wednesday night edition of ESPN Boxing from the Seminole Hard Rock Casino Hotel in Hollywood, Florida should position him for bigger and better things inside the strands.

“This was for Columbia and my family,” said a pumped up Urango. “I’m ready to fight Ricky Hatton again or any other champion who’s willing to fight me.”

After winning the vacant IBF strap from Naoufel Ben Rabah in June of 2006, Urango dropped a close decision to Hatton in January of ’07. He’s looked hungry ever since.

Against Vilches, Urango showed defensive flaws and a limited assault, but he’s hard rock strong enough to blast his way past stylistic limitations.

He should go for one of the lesser title holders like Torres, Malignaggi or Witter. Hatton easily beats him again.

Hatton had little energy in the Urango fight, he had a heavy flu leading up to that fight.

He'd easily out-class him if they fought again.

Urango was very green against hatton the first time and although it still hasnt been that long, I think it'll be a closer fight because hatton is not exactly in his prime iether anymore.

I'm not ready to say that yet. Ricky lost to Floyd. Not some run of the mill jerk off. I'm going to wait and see how he looks against Lazcano. Honestly the only thing I'm worried about is his stamina. I doubt I'll get that answer against Lazcano, though. It'll end early.

The Lazcano fight will not be a good indicator. Lazcano is there to make Hatton look good. He's smaller, past his prime and coming off a long lay off. Perfect Hatton opponent.

Lazcano doesn't get out classed by anyone realy, the Jonson fight is the only time he's been stopped. He's a very tough fighter and he holds a good shot.

He's 4-1 at 140.

It can be an indicator if it goes the distance for example or if Hatton looks bad. We gotta look for any sign of permanent damage caused by the Mayweather fight.

I dont see him beating Hatton, but more importantly, where is the motivation for Hatton to fight him again? It doesnt make much sense for Hatton to take that fight. Noone really wants to see it and it doesnt make much money.

I think a Hatton vs Katsidis matchup would make alot more sense...and cents

If Katsidis moved up it would make for a tremendous fight. Torres-Hatton would be very entertaining too.

I think Hatton is past his prime also. Out of his last 4 fights, 3 of them of have gone into the later rounds and everytime Hatton has faded and looked very tired at the end. I haven't seen much of Laczano, but he looks like a fairly durable guy so if it goes into the later rounds it will be interesting.

Lazcano is a good fight to make coming off a KO I think, should give the fans a good night before he heads back to the States for big fights.

Hatton v Urango 2 - No point what so ever, the 1st was poor and there are far bigger fights to be made. Im sure Goldenboy will feel the same!
