It looks like the tantalizing clash between Fernando Vargas vs Ricardo Mayorga will land in Southern California on a June date to be determined. According to the Ventura County Star, the Honda Center in Anaheim is a possibility. It was also revealed that the fight will be at 162 pounds. "It's not for money. ... It's not for belts. I'm looking to make this fight for one reason and one reason only — for pride," Vargas is quoted as saying.

ive always liked vargas he's gave us great fights down the years, i think he'll be way to big for mayorga at 162 and he'll show good form after his move from 154 where he struggled to make weight.

Vargas needs to lose the damn hair, or lack there of, on the tip of his forehead. He looks like an idiot, and the way it flapped when Oscar popped him made my day. I hate Vargas, and Mayorga is just trash.

Vargas dont need to be fighting anymore but if he does it should be at heavy weight because he is to big to try and get down to 1anything. As for the fight Vargas will be koed in the 3rd round.
