You cant consider one organazation the best. Each weight division has its own top guy. All 4 are pretty equal.
Say the best heavyweight is Klitschko so the IBF Heavyweight title right now seems a bit better than other but then you look at super feather where the IBF champ is not even the top 3 or 4 fighter in the division. Barrera is the top dog & he has the WBC.

WBA: World Boxing Association, founded in 1921
WBC: World Boxing Council, founded in 1963
IBF: International Boxing Federation, founded in 1983
WBO: World Boxing Organization, founded in 1988
So i think i agree. The WBA has the purest heritage and is the one that was born out of recognizing the "Universal" champion since the days of John Sullivan in 1882. The others were just "made up" for the sake of money. As for Ring magazine... what happens if someone else comes along and starts publishing a magazine? Even if it's a good mag, why should that be the format allowed to "determine" anything? Lots to think about, huh?
(They should do away with all of it and just have a CHAMP)

thats an imposibilty to do away with a governing body, these fragmentasions are all run as busineses so you cant just close them down.
when the wba was the only recognised body there ranking systems were all mob ran and full of coruption, thats why the wbc broke away and became recognised as the top governing body, since then it has become farceical with the alphabet soup bodys that we have today but the wbc is and always will be the most prestigeous.

There are plenty of other magazines but Ring magazine has a pretty good history & unbiased rankings.
They look pretty accurate to me.

The WBC it just seems like the true champ in every weight class has to has or already have the WBC belt. But I kinda agree with Tommygunn

id say the wbc is the most pretigeous but at the same time a fighter m,akes the belt, bernard hopkins who is the man at lightheavy and the super champ at the weight holds the ibo belt, and when hamed and barrera fought they also fought for the ibo tile.

for some reason in my mind the WBC belt was thee belt to have if you wanted to be champ.
