Heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko must fight #1 ranked mandatory challenger Juan Carlos Gomez. Purse bid date: December 19, 2008

Cruiserweight champion Giacobbe Fragomeni won the vacant title and according with the WBC Rules, has to make two mandatory defenses. The mandatory fight is Fragomeni vs. Krzystof Wlodarczyk. Purse bid date: December 19, 2008. An elimination fight was approved between Herbie Hide and Matt Godfrey. Purse bid date: December 19, 2008

Light heavyweight champion Adrian Diaconu was scheduled to fight Silvio Branco, but was injured in training and the fight was postponed. Purse bid date: December 15, 2008.

#1 rated Carl Froch will fight #3 Jean Pascal for the vacant super middleweight title on December 6. According to the WBC Rules and Regulations, a champion who wins a vacant title is required to make two mandatory defenses. Jermain Taylor defeated Jeff Lacy and will be the first mandatory challenger. Karo Murat will fight Marcus Johnson to determine the second mandatory challenger. Purse bid date: December 19, 2008.

Middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik will fight mandatory challenger Marco Antonio Rubio.Super welterweight champion Vernon Forrest must fight interim champion Sergio Martinez. Promoter Gary Shaw requested to extend the free negotiation period, and the purse offer was re-scheduled for December 1, 2008.

Welterweight champion Andre Berto must fight mandatory challenger Luis Collazo. Purse bid date: December 1, 2008. An elimination fight was approved between Carlos Baldomir and Jackson Osei Bonsu. If Baldomir wins, he will become the next mandatory challenger. If Bonsu wins, he will need to win another elimination fight to become the next mandatory challenger.

Super lightweight champion Timothy Bradley Jr.'s status is up in the air due to a unification fight. The division is under revision.

With lightweight champion Manny Pacquiao occupied at the moment, Edwin Valero and Antonio Pitalua was approved as for the interim championship. Purse bid date: December 19, 2008.

The fight between interim super featherweight champion Humberto Soto and Francisco Lorenzo for the vacant title must take place, and final elimination bouts will be scheduled to determine the two mandatory challengers, as follows: Urbano Antillon vs. Thong Por Chokchai, Thailand, for the first mandatory fight; Rocky Juarez vs. Humberto Mauro Gutierrez for the second mandatory fight. Purse bid date for both: December 19, 2008.

As featherweight champion Oscar Larios needs some time to recuperate, an interim champion was approved: Elio Rojas and Yuriorkis Gamboa will fight for the interim championship. Purse bid date: December 19, 2008.

Super bantamweight champion Israel Vazquez' medical situation is being reviewed. The winner of interim champion Toshiaki Nishioka vs. Genaro Garcia must fight Jhonny Gonzalez.The mandatory fight between bantamweight champion Hasegawa and Vusi Malinga has been signed and approved.

Super flyweight contenders Devid Lookmahanak and Evans Mbamba will fight a final eliminator on December 6. The winner will fight unified champion Vic Darchinyan.

Flyweight champion Daisuke Naito is fighting Shingo Yamaguchi on December 23, 2008, in a voluntary defense, then must fight mandatory challenger Ponomrunglek Kratingdaeng. The winner must fight Julio Cesar Miranda.

Light flyweight champion Edgar Sosa is making his mandatory defense against Juanito Rubillar on November 29, 2008, in Mexico City.

The winner of the fight between strawweight champion Oleydong Sithsanerchai and Pornsawan Porpramook on November 27 must fight interim champion Juan Palacios.
