The WBO has ruled that negotiations begin immediately for a title bout between world champion Juan Diaz and interim champion Michael Katsidis. Katsidis was scheduled for a big May 26 USA coming out party on HBO, but opponent Joan Guzman pulled out leaving Katsidis in the cold. Needless to say, Team Katsidis is thrilled by the news. "Michael Katsidis and Brendon Smith (trainer/manager) would personally like to thank Mr Francisco Valcalel for enforcing the mandatory and to make one of the greatest fights ever to be seen in the lightweight division," said Smith in an email. "This is the reason why we have been loyal to the WBO for so many years. 'Paco' is a good man and the WBO is a great organization, who have treated us very well."

the reason i ask is because diaz just fought. is he really to fight again already, it hasnt even been a month.

This is all I got on it guys but the fight might not happen till late June or July. If July then July will be a huge month for boxing.
