I wont be of much help but hey..i'll try. I'd suggest something HIGH in carbs to eat. A LOT of water hydrate yourself a lot and eat bananas a good friend of mine told me eat a banana 20 minutes for your fight so you dont get any cramps. Don't think of any meal thats special. Think of meals you eat before your training. Just drink a lot of water and eat a banana before the fight. Eat other things maybe pasta? Oatmeal? Sauce usually bothers me when i eat pasta normally it makes me have gas a lot and bothers my breathing cause i'll have to burp it out and it'll feel warm on my chest bothering my stamina iono its weird. But nothing special for your fight. The nervousness of the fight will give you enough energy.

P.S. If you're fighting soon goodluck and don't let us down. Hopefully you record it if you are gonna fight soon i'd like to see how you do. And i'm sure many people wanna see how well you can do. After all you're one of the few female boxers maybe the only female boxer on here so it would be nice to see how an amatuer female can do.

Sure did, also remember not to eat before you weigh in, and do try to use the restroom before, and afterwards the best things of course, banana 20 minutes before or Japanese sweet potatoes, both are only 70 calories, full of potassium and a good source of carbs, and low fat, so that's a good snack for anytime too. Some energy efficient foods the night before or before the fight, rice, porridge, the obvious bananas or sweet potato, anything that's a good source of energy, and remember especially after a diet for a match, sugary drinks do taste unusually good and colder than it really is, it's kinda weird, but try not to drink them. If you really gotta, try to just drink a little, and not 5 minutes before your fight.

Thanks for all your help guys...I guess I sorta knew the answer but just wanted to see what you guys said :)
I'll probably have a big bowl of pasta for dinner the night before, some oats for brekkie on the day and then a bit of tuna and rice a couple of hrs before and maybe a banana like 20mins before!

Brooklyn Rican: It's hard to believe I'm one of the few female boxers on here...I thought there were heaps in America? I'll believe that I'm probably the only one from Australia though!

My fights on Sep 14th so I'll hopefully get to up-load it or at least let you guys know how I went.

First fight - so I'm a little nervous!!

Ah, we're all nervous its just like the first day of sparring knowing you're gonna get hit right in the face. Don't worry about it all it is is sparring but hitting at full force and scoring. Won't be much different.

There are many female boxers but not many on this forum so its great to see how you are in the ring we get something different in this forum. Hopefully you get 1-0 on your record i'd love to see the fight to so try to get it recorded. Make sure you whoop the girls ass too :cheeky4:

You dont want to eat to much, cause you don't want to put too much weight on before the weigh ins, so what i would do is that i would basically only eat raw vegetables for the day until the weigh in, then there is about 2 hours or so between the weigh in and the fight, so thats where i would eat a bit bigger meal, like a sub. And im guessing you will be one of the first fights on the card.

I remember when i went to the golden gloves, i went in weighing like a pound over the weightclass i wanted to be in, so i was fighting guys like 8 pounds heavier, still won though. And I could eat whatever i wanted cause i didnt have to worry about my weight the following mornings at the other weigh ins haha.

Anyways good luck!

Once again...You shouldn't eat in between the last 2 hours of your fight. YOu have more than enough stored energy. Its not that you have experience its the fact that you shouldn't eat in between the last two hours before your bout or eat in between the last two hours of a regular workout cause it takes 2 hours to settle in and take in the nutrients so there will be no point cause you wont have the energy you could have by eating before those 2 hours
