What do you think about Ricky Hatton??
I think that he is a very good boxer. I don't believe at this time he could win against Floyd Mayweather, but I do believe that in a year or so he could very well be the one to beat Mayweather. I personally like to watch Hatton fight and one of my favorites is Mayweather, so I am anxious to see them fight in the future.
Sorry if this has been a discussion before...but I am new here and didnt know.

I think Ricky Hatton is a good exciting fighter,but his style is one that takes to many punches.If Hatton has a good night a Mayweather match could be interesting but the fight should happen fairly soon.

hatton beat collazo it was close but he won. ive seen the fight 3 times and gave it to hatton by 2 the first time, but after watching it again and again ive scored it by 3 to the hitman.

hatton definatley has the style to beat mayweather who seems to have dodged anyone with a pulse since castillo.

mayweather had the chance to fight kostya at 140 after kostya ko'd zab judah but point blank refused hatton got the fight and the rests history.

mayweather was also offered a carrer high of 8mill to fight antonio margarito but didn't fancy the risk, mayweather has outstanding speed and skill and defensivley is up there with winky but heart comes into question with him.

i dont think we'll ever see hatton and mayweather get it on hatton will fight out his carrer at 140 and mayweather seems to be chassing 6 straps at 6 weights.

floyd looks to be booked untill 2008 anyhoo he fights baldomir in nov then he'll have a tune up in feb07 before his big payday with delahoya mid-late 07 if he wins this he prety much told margarito if they both keep winning he'll face him in a year or so.

I agree Ithought Castillo beat Mayweather the first time. His next fight could be interesting (same style fighter)

I kinda agree. not sayin Collazo won but if it was a 15 rounders he woulda.
Hatton is a bit overated. He bit off more than he could chew at 147 & is goin back down.

opinions are great arent they erik. i dont see any legends on floyds record nd with hattons win over kostya i think it puts him straight at the top of the tree.

if you look at the rankins on the ring you'll see hatton is there #1 guy at 140 and i would say thats the lest he deserves (i would rate him higher p4p).

in a recent interview hatton has said that he would love a fight with the likes of mosely,floyd and margarito at 147.

by the way guys collazo is a very tough fighter he holds a win over the highly regarded wba 154 champ rivera and could match any the fighters listed above.

look at the facts corrales was a good win gatti was finnished after micky ward, judah had just been beaten by a journeyman (baldomir), castillo should have got the decision in there first fight and floyd ran all the second and chavez couldn,t hold hattons spit bucket.

by the way hatton move down for a shot at castillo if he stayed at 147 he would have to face oktay urkal who is his mando and nobody wants to see that fight.

After fighting Collazo (and looking hurt in the last rounds) Hatton is smart to know he is not big enough for the welterweights.Because of his style on a good night a match with Mayweather could be interesting.

i think williams at 6,1 is to big but margarito is in reach, margies the same size as hatton victim maussa.

hatton and margarito both have the style to beat mayweather who i dont think likes to be under pressure. mayweather wins rounds frowing 30-40 punches a round landing a high percentage where the other 2 guys fling between 80 and 120.
