New to this terminology...can someone explain the speed stance/philly shell in some detain and if there is some difference between the two?

I was told this is not a good choice for southpaws...can someone tell me what the benefit to a speed stance/philly shell is and why it might not be good for a southpaw?

Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure about the speed stance, I would think it's on your toes. The philly shell is a form of defense that consists of shoulder rolls, blocking, with different versions of it being employed by James Toney, Floyd Mayweather Jr., Evander Holyfield, etc.
