You're a boxer... and you're against an opponent. From the opening bell he is all over you... and before you know it... he drops... you're out via KO in The First Round. AND... if he doesn't get you in the First Round... he'll get you in the 2nd of 3rd. He may even knock you down a few times before landing a final decisive blow. You had no answer for this attack... you had no chance in hell... you hardly threw in any offence of your own.
Such examples of this include Sonny Liston's destruction of Floyd Patterson in The First Round (TWICE) and Joe Louis' destruction of Max Schmeling in The First Round (during their 2nd encounter).
Now think of yourself as a boxer... and you're opponent completely outclasses you. You could've given in at any time... but he just hasn't punished you "THAT MUCH" you make you want to throw in the towel. But you're feeling it... you know you're sore... you know you're losing... so why hasn't he knocked you out yet?
You're opponent goes on to win a a LOPSIDED UNANIMOUS DECISION... that's humiliating for you!
Examples of this include Muhammad Ali vs. Ernie Terrell and Larry Holmes vs. Randall 'Tex' Cobb.
What defeat is more humiliating for a fighter? Being KO'd very early on in the fight (For Example... The First Round) without doing very much for yourself... or being completely outclassed and made fun of on the way to a Lopsided Unanimous Decision?
NOTE: Losing a fight when you think... when you are so sure of the fact that you've won (Larry Holmes vs. Michael Spinks) isn't on this list... because you think you've won. In these 2 cases as mentioned above... you know that you've lost and that you've lost bad!!!
