There was a time when James Toney was really good... I mean... POUND-FOR-POUNG!!! Now... he is past it... taking 'ROIDS... trash-talking... and no real direction as a "self-managed" fighter! His 2 defeats at the hands of Samuel Peter (THE SAVIOR AND FUTURE OF HEAVYWEIGHT BOXING) prove this through my eyes! At what age/year do you think James Toney lost his boxing skill and probably should've given it away once and for all?

he's never lost his ability, i just think these hw r to big for him, maybe if his sorry ass trained once every so often he could make another impact at cruiserweight or even lightheavy.

ive noticed if my weight drifts above the 250 mark it takes a round off me i like to be around 240 in a fight, when you see toney who once campaigned at 160 weighing upto 240 and he still carrys the skill it makes you kind of sick that someone with so much talent can be such a lazy git. i train my ass off just to stay competitive when this jerk with all the talent in the world cant be bothered getting out bed till he's had a steak meal.

i wouldn't say toney has ever been super fast, he had great skill defence and is a great counter puncer. i loved it when roy jones done the bird thing against toney and james tried to copy him and got nailed, very funny. thats the only time ive heard toney admit defeat in a fight, he actualy said the beter man ( roy ) won on the night.

Look how fit he was in these 2 pictures, and look what he was at cruiser weight:

Quite muscular lol\

and now is when he is fat (present day withing 2 years):

Not the best picture, but you can see his gut a little bit.

its not that toney's past it, he just shouldn't be at hw. if his sorry ass trained he'd be at 175.

So wich is it? Did Peter prove he is the savior as you say by beating a top Heavyweight twice or Is he beating a washed up guy fighting 2 divisions to high?

Toney has always been a trash talker. He is a punk.

I do think Toney is still a solid boxer & if he coulda stopped at Cruiserweight would have been succesful there for a long time.

You call Peter the savior but I wanna see another 1 or 2 good performances back to back before I am convinced. I almost fell for this with Liakhovich after seein his impressive performance against Brewster. I was thinkin man he is gonna have a big year. He did nothing. I wanna see a few of these heavys have a consistant year or so.
