I boxed heavily for a few years in high school I did a few amateur bouts and got runner up in my states golden gloves tournament. I joined the military after high school and still worked heavy bag,speed bag and top and bottom bag but never sparred due to no boxers in my posts and after getting out of the service I prayed for a gym to open up in my town and just last week a boxing/mma gym opened up. They have great prices and the staff is very knowlegable. My issue is my neck I sustained a neck injury that is healed but my doctor says full contact could reinjure me. I want so much to get back into sparring and some bouts again but I don't know if its worth taking a hard shot and hurting myself. Should I forget boxing completely or do something like tae kwon do which I liked and am pretty good at?
