It's a simple question... Yes or No? After all he has been through... and comparing his PRIME TIME to his LATTER DAYS and of course his infamous antics both in and outside of the ring... can you possibly see Mike Tyson being inducted into The International Boxing Hall of Fame one day?

yeah he'll be there and rightly so, just for being the youngest champ then unifying the belts twice will guarentee him a place.

Prime tyson was explosive and awsome. He should be a hall of fame fighter due to the fact he was the youngest hw champion in history. :)

He should be in there and all but he can't compete with the other hall of famers in there, Marciano, Dempsey, Ali, Tunney, Baer, Norton, Foreman, Holmes in 08, or Sharkey.

bill your some dude. tyson prime v holmes prime is no comparison, look how both fighters did against stinxs when both were considered primed. holmes had two goes and still couldn't get the win ( although i think they were both extremly close fights with holmes deserving at least a share of the spoils) i wont mension there fight together because obviously holmes was a bit past his best but the inevitible would have still happened if they fought prime v prime tyson wins ko before 7.

First of all the 2nd fight wasn't close, Holmes obviously won that. If you are baseing Holmes fight with Tyson, then that is a falty comparison. Holmes was given 4 weeks (1 month) to train for the fight coming off a of a 2 year retirement. Holmes prime was from 1977-1982. When Holmes fought Tyson he was 38, when he fought Spinks he was the first time 35 close to 36, and he was 36 the rematch. Spinks was 7 years younger than Holmes and still got beat both times, Larry was right either those judges were blind or they had been drinking. Don King probably had something to do with those decisions because 2 years earlier Larry dropped King as his promoter and King threatend to break Larry's legs. Tyson on the other hand was pampered by King. yes King probably manipulated him once D'Amato died and Jacobs, and Rooney were out of the way, but still look at how Mike was treated and blown up. Look how Holmes was bashed and thrown dow. Holmes is THE most underestimated heavyweight ever, even more than Lennox Lewis. Lets look at the comparison between skills from Holmes and Tyson. Holmes was faster, took a better shot, had A LOT more heart, he had better stamina, he trained better, he had a longer reach, and he had a lot more ring smarts. Tyson only had power on Holmes.

In what way? Do you mean that as a compliment or am I crazy that he wouldn't compete with Ali, Holmes, Foreman, Norton, Marciano, Dempsey, Tunney, and Sharkey?
in allways having to bring something negative when tyson is in the mix.
yeahhh yeahhh i know tyson is a nut case now.
but for a short time He was god sent to the sport of boxing.
example the girls in my fam. hate boxing
but when tyson was in the ring they tried to get a good seat by the TV.

Thats because Tyson was so popular, not because of his skill.

if you read my post you'd see that i said i wont mension there fight together id rather judge them against an opponent they both fought primed and who better to judge them by than spinks. holmes went 24 close rounds with him and tyson went 91 secs.

Hey Spinks came off of a retirement too. Also it is style. Holmes's style was to jab you to death, Tyson's was to just whack at you as hard as he could. Tyson was better for a KO, but Holmes was better stategicaly.

Bill

anybody can loose a fight to anybody.
thats why ducking is part of boxing.
and to say a guy from 20-40 years ago would beat a guy today or vise versa is nonsense
its not just whats in the ring that counts its the big picture. everything in boxing has changed over time.
the way a training camp is put together is not even close to what it was.
1-nutrition
2-video
3-analists
4-sparing
5-Money
6-the public
7-titles or belts
8-full time jobs aside of boxing
9-the list goes on.
all of those thing affect a boxer

I know, and one thing Tyson never had to do was work when he was boxing, Larry did which made it even harder for him to train. Of course he didn't have to when he was champ, but the first 2 years of his career he had to have another job.

thats my point

anybody given the right circumstances can beat anybody. even your golden fighter.LOL

example
buster VS tyson
buster gave it his 150%
while tyson was with 5 girls the night before the fight.
tyson lost.
tyson at 150% VS buster at 150% may be another 2nd round KO for tyson.
