Is unstoppable. He won his last fight by throwing pretty much only jabs. It might make the fight boring but it is a strong and consistent.

It's a great weapon
Best in the business in my opinion. He stopped Ray Austin with his jab and a few hooks mixed in.

Yeah, I said the other day that as good a jab as Cotto has, no fighter relies upon its use more heavily than Wlad. He used it very effectively to keep Calvin Brock at bay and it was basically his sole weapon in his last three fights versus Austin, Brewster, and Ibragimov. Extremely boring, but it works. He wants to keep winning, not make things exciting for us. I don't think he ever wants to risk looking like older brother after the fight with Lennox Lewis.

Thanks man, I really appreciate that.

You're welcome homie.
It's a beautiful thing when someone who dislikes Mayweather as much as I do can coexist with a big fan of his such as yourself. Not just coexist, but get along and have mutual respect through the net.

You're respectful in your "hate." Most haters can't hate without being very rude towards the fan they are displaying their hate to. You also obviously know the sport as I do, so I value your opinions as an informed fan.

I agree. Best in the business
As for the Jab/punch itself, I think Cotto's the best, its better timed and I think its harder(p4p).. But talking about its importance then Wlad's way better, Wlad wins fights relying on his jab all night long, its a very important tool for him. Given the context I think Wlads the better jabber because he can wear his opponents down with his jab alone, he nullifies his opponents with that weapon because he throws it so often and his reach is freakish.
So resuming, Cotto's jab is better if you look at the punch alone. Wlad's jabs are more relevant in the course of the fight, wlad wins fights with his jab and needs it to do so, cotto not necessarily.
Yup its a brilliant weapon for sure. He has an amazing right hand aswell when he actually bothers to use it.
It's his best weapon.
It's his best weapon.
More like is only weapon!

He must use that punch 98% of the time. But I have to admit thou, when it connects, it can be devastating. But he doesn't capitalise on it enough for me. He doesn't go in for the kill, even thou he can see they are clearly hurt.
It's the only punch Wlad has
You guys are crazy if you think the jab is the only thing Wlad got going for him. The thing about Wlad is hes really scared about getting hit so he doesnt let his right hand go alot, but when he realises the fighter hes facing cant hurt him his right hand will put you to sleep, like ive said before watch what Wlad did to Calvin Brock when he realised he couldnt hurt him, yes he started throwing the right hand and look what happened.

The only thing stopping Wlad from becoming great(not ATG but a great hw) is his confidence.

Fantastic post. You know man, the way you wrote then made me think you were actually Nate Campbell for a moment:laugh: He articulates his points in a very similiar way to you in his open letter's to GBP etc. Keep up the good work man, i have yet to see a bad post from you:thumbsup:
